A lot of information in Placement offices can help you understand "the job market"... what's hot, what's not, starting salaries, competition, hiring statistics, and so on.  

Long before you even dream of setting up a job interview, you need to figure out something no one else can tell you: what is your passion.   That can be difficult, especially if you're hard working and talented and can go in many different directions.
